Government authority located in Mandeville, Louisiana, USA based organization looking for expert vendor for sandbag attachment trailer mounted system.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide sandbag attachment trailer mounted system to the government authority located in Mandeville, LA.
- Hopper: - Hopper shall have a capacity of at least 2.5 cubic yards of material. Top screen of agitator shall be at least 4 inch by 6-inch grid to minimize introduction of large foreign materials. Hopper shall have a transparent window near the bottom to allow operators to keep hopper filled with a loader that has a minimum lift height of 7.5 feet. Hopper will include side fill wings to allow for filling with bigger bucket sizes.
- Power Supply: - Power supply shall be provided utilizing 20 KW Diesel Generator with included 20-watt receptacle for auxiliary piece of equipment. Hydraulic System will be powered by 7.5 horsepower electric engine. Spout and Tipper Tie machine pneumatic needs provided by 10 CFM @ 100 PSI diesel air compressor.
- Bag Filling Station: - Filling of sandbag will be of a hands-free type operation. The operator shall place the empty bag onto the spout and touch a lever switch that activates a clamping mechanism to hold the bag on the spout. The machine will then fill the bag with a predetermined amount of material and the clamping system will release the bag after reversing the lever switch following filling. The predetermined amount of material will be adjustable by a manual or mechanical material height adjuster as well as an adjustable timer for material conveyor run time. The bag will be above a transfer conveyor during filling and after the clamping mechanism releases the bag will be resting
on the conveyor.
- Bag Closing Conveyor: - Conveyor will be at least 8 feet long with a manual or mechanical extender. Conveyor will have a variable speed adjuster able to adjust from 0 ft. to 2 ft. per second. Conveyor will be capable of conveying a 30 1b bag. Conveyor will come with a micro switch wand that stops the conveyor underneath the ring machine. Conveyor shall be mechanically adjustable to accommodate different sizes of sand bags. Width of conveyor will be wide enough to facilitate a fully loaded sand bag without touching the conveyor frame.
