[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide professional billing and collections services including CRNA services, physician services, advanced practice nurse services, and other receivables as identified by agency and provides medical care to primarily states residents whose payer mix includes Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Managed Care, Self-pay and Free Care. Other professional services may be added during the contract for professional billing services.
- Prepare, bill and collect current charges as well as bill and collect any backlogged charges, either electronically or by paper claim submission.
- Handling all telephone inquiries relating to contractor's billing.
- Performing thorough billing services on all third party and self-pay claims, secondary and subsequent billing procedures in order to secure the net reimbursement possible for each charge in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines; performing patient billing and collection of current active accounts receivable and identifying and assisting patients in obtaining financial assistance as requested.
- Handle all Medicare, Medicaid and commercial billing, reprocessing, and denial claims.
- Improper coding practices (i.e., up-coding, under-coding, unbundling, and assumption coding);
